Current Narratives Journal: The Last Killer in Eden
Old Tom was a Killer Whale who roamed the bays of Eden at the turn of the twentieth century.
The history and myth which surrounds him is a classic Australian tale and one which tells the complex relationship humankind shares with nature continuing to this day.
At the end of 2014 I travelled to Eden and wrote this story, which was published in Current Narratives, the University of Wollongong's annual literary journalism publication.
Junkee: Reddit Is Locking Out All Its Users After A Disastrous ‘Ask Me Anything’
A story written for Junkee in the wake of protests on the social network Reddit, after one of its employees was abruptly fired.
The story was among the most viewed articles of the week.
Junkee receives more than 1,500,000 uniques a month and has a wide reach on social media.
